Senior Fellows

Senior Fellows must complete their Ph.D. prior to their appointment start date. The appointment length can be from one to three years and may not hold the appointment for more than six years after receipt of their terminal degree. Because this is an academic title, it requires Dean's Office approval prior to hire. If you would like to hire a senior fellow, please fill out and submit the below senior fellow request form to gsadmin [ a t ] uw.edu at least two months prior to the appointment start date. If a visa is needed, the processing time may be longer, depending on the visa type.

Senior Fellow Request Form

If you would like to grant early computer and email access to a senior fellow, please send an email to gsadmin [ a t ] uw.edu to let them know that you would like this and we can set this up through our payroll system. This is the preferred method for granting early access, as opposed to sponsoring an account through UW IT.
