Please Support Our Research

The UW Department of Genome Sciences is a world pioneer of genome interpretation and technology innovation.  We are among the top five Genetics/Genomics graduate programs in the United States, and our research is at the forefront of unlocking life-changing secrets of the genome.  Our research to find answers for prevention and treatment of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, autism, and other medical problems depends on your partnership with us.  Gifts are important in the support of the department’s excellence in teaching and research.

Department Priorities Needing Your Support:

Genome Sciences Leadership Fund – This fund provides support for many educational activities of the department.  The Leadership Fund allows the chair flexibility to respond to emerging opportunities and needs of the department.

Friends of Genetics – The department’s excellent reputation and accomplishments are due to the outstanding faculty and quality graduate students we have recruited and retained.  This fund supports those efforts and provides funding for special projects and graduate student activities we would otherwise have difficulty funding.

Deborah K Lee Lecture Series – In memory of our friend and colleague, long-time staff member Deb Lee, this fund feeds into the Genome Sciences Program Support fund, which supports the Genome Sciences lecture series, among other departmental events. You can indicate when making a donation that your gift is in honor of Deb.

Your gift is important to us, and we appreciate your generosity.  Your donation is tax deductible.
