All Staff – During times of severe inclement weather, please communicate your commuting, telecommuting or leave intentions to your supervisor. Please also refer to the UW inclement weather policy for further information.

To determine whether the University of Washington is operating on a normal schedule, please check the main UW website (status will be red at the top of the page), or (if you can’t access the UW website) call the UW information telephone lines, which provide up-to-the-minute information about the three UW campus operations during emergencies or severe weather conditions:  206-UWS-INFO (206 897-4636) and toll-free 1-866-897-4636

To sign up for UW Alerts and to receive text and/or emails messages regarding disruptions to UW operations directly see http://www.washington.edu/alert/index.php.

If appropriate, please review the following information regarding leave use and compensation practices during severe weather or when the UW temporarily suspends non-essential operations.
