Application Instructions

The next application deadline is 6/15/19.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and enrolled in one of the participating graduate programs. Students must be performing thesis research with a BDGN faculty member. Applicants should be aware that the BDGN has specific course requirements. While students at all levels of training are welcome to apply, preference will be given to those beginning their second year of study.

Applications will consist of these items:

1. Application form

Word version | pdf version

2. CV

CVs should include any publications.

3. Research Proposal

Provide a brief description (1-2 pages) of your research project and its goals. 

4. Graduate Transcript

No need for an official copy - an unofficial electronic version is fine. We do not need your undergraduate transcript.

5. Two Reference letters

Please provide two reference letters, one of which should be from your UW thesis advisor if you have already selected a thesis lab. Letters should be emailed directly to Brian Giebel at bgiebel [ a t ] uw.edu.
