Grants
The Grants Team provides pre-award and post-award support for Genome Sciences faculty and staff for all extramural-funded research operations.
Our Team:

Leila Wirfs – handles the state budgets, department budgets, reconciliation

Pre-award activities include:
• Proposal preparation
• Budget preparation
• Completing internal UW paperwork
For Post-award we provide budget summaries to faculty that include in-depth analysis of expenditure patterns and timing of grant budget spend-out. We also approve purchases on the grant budgets to ensure compliance with federal, state, and university rules. Additionally, assistance is provided for non-competing renewal applications (aka progress reports).
