F. novicida Mutant Library

The Francisella novicida reduced mutant library exists in two versions:

The two-allele library contains two unique mutant strains for most non-essential genes (Gallagher et al. 2007. PNAS 104(3):1009).  The library and individual strains are available from BEI Resources.

The three-allele library comprises the two-allele set supplemented with additional strains to make a library with an average of three unique mutant strains per non-essential gene (Enstrom et al. 2010. submitted).

The accompanying table (F.a. Three Allele Library) lists the members of the three-allele mutant set.  Currently, strains in the three-allele library which are not part of the two-allele set may be requested from the Manoil Laboratory.
